Wow! What a fantastic first day in Idaho 🇺🇸 Big thanks to @infernosoccerclub who were fantastic participants ⚽️ We went under the microscope with 1v1 duels, looking at how to use your body and the ball to win your individual battle 💪

ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴋɴᴏᴡ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴄᴏᴀᴄʜɪɴɢ ɪꜱ ꜱᴜᴄᴄᴇꜱꜱꜰᴜʟ? 🤔 Sometimes, when working with groups of players, it can be difficult to quantify ‘success’. But when you see the players putting it into practice, that’s a pretty good indication! Here is a clip of @mcguinnessfc delivering a session on ‘flow’ in football, and specifically using opposite flow to beat an opponent. Perception, deception, acceleration. The video then continues with a clip of @mike_phelan_1 coaching in a game at the end of the session. What do we see in the game? The same player using the exact same principle to beat an opponent and get a shot off! Player understanding? ✅ Successful session delivery? ✅ This is where technology like that from @veotechnologies is vital in coaching. It gives coaches the opportunity to review sessions in detail with a birds eye view, providing the opportunity to look for this success 👏🏻

❗️MP Coaching x Maximum Performance Academy❗️ We’ve had a fantastic few days in Dublin delivering our MPC masterclass workshop for coaches! 📝 In the classroom: 🎥 We analysed the recent England performance at Euro 2024, breaking it down into both team and individual performance 🔥 We looked at the modern day striker, analysing Alvaro Morata’s performance and shot and goal statistics in the Spain v Croatia match, with a technical and tactical skills identification exercise ft. Erling Haaland 📊 We also shared how data would be used in the elite environment for both coaching and selection purposes and how this compares to grassroots football, with the use of technology like @veotechnologies and @playerdata ⚽️ On the pitch: 🥅 We looked at how how to use the movement of the #9 and #10 to attack central areas 3️⃣ We discussed creating overloads in central areas via 3rd man runs from midfield 🔁 We practiced creating overloads in wide areas and utilising a switch of play A comprehensive coach education delivery in the classroom and on the field ✅ Big thanks to @maximumpacademy - this is a partnership we’re very much looking forward to developing 🤝 Another big thank you to @droghedaacademy for taking part in the sessions.
